A farming adventure to the Rocky Mountains and the greatest show on earth 'The Calgary Stampede'.
Visit the Calgary Stampede and Canada's largest agricultural expo Ag in Motion. This tour will take you to the amazing natural monuments in the badlands of Alberta, to marvellous Saskatoon, National Parks and the breathtaking Rocky Mountain scenery of Lake Louise and Banff.

1Sydney - Calgary
On arrival into Calgary and clearing customs we are met by our Coach, Driver and local Guide, enjoy a leisurely lunch stop and scenic tour of Calgary before being transferred to our hotel for a well-deserved rest.
Tonight, is free as the hotel is located in the city centre where there are many restaurants and bars nearby to enjoy the atmosphere of the Calgary Stampede.

This morning we enjoy a short walk around the city so that you can learn how the C train operates to and from the stampede and around the city so you can enjoy World Famous Calgary Stampede, “The Greatest Show on Earth”.
Please note that we are booked into the Rodeo today, which commences at 1:15pm. After the Rodeo, you have free time to enjoy the Stampede; and at your own leisure make your way home by the C Train, which runs between the Stampede Grounds and Calgary City.
Overnight in the heart of Calgary. Tonight, enjoy the city of Calgary and the atmosphere of the Calgary Stampede; maybe visit one of the many famous boot shops.

Today is a free day and you will have a day Pass to the Calgary Stampede to enjoy the agriculture exhibits, maybe make your way to the International Agriculture Office to enjoy some local hospitality by the local farmers. Also included are Tickets to tonight’s Chuck Wagon Races and Show which starts at the Stampede at 7:00pm. Please use the C Train to get to and from the Stampede at own leisure.

4BCalgary - Olds
This morning we depart Calgary by coach to Olds. Our first visit today is to a local wheat, Canola and Speckle Park Cattle producer. We then visit the Olds College Smart Farm: a cutting-edge learning environment that has grown to include 3,600 acres of farmland, infrastructure, and staff who are experienced in ag tech research and development.
Olds College Centre of Innovation (OCCI) and Smart Farm are accelerating the development and adoption of technologies and practices that result in improved productivity, profitability and sustainability of the agriculture and agri-food industry through industry-driven applied research.
After lunch we visit a local Agriculture Show.
Tonight Dinner with local farmers.

5BOlds - Columbia Icefields - Athabasca Glacier
Today we depart to the Rockies travelling by coach. Our journey today may be the highlight of our tour; we travel north along the Icefields Parkway to experience a wealth of breathtaking scenery. Crystal blue Lakes, fresh mountain streams, deep forests, snow capped mountain peaks and hopefully bears are the order of the day.
On arrival at the Athabasca Glacier we have time for lunch before our adventure snow coach ride up and onto the Glacier. We then experience the Glacier SkyWalk. After our memorable visit to the Glacier we have about a 40 min coach ride to our hotel located along the Icefields Parkway in a pristine mountain environment with a fantastic view.
Tonight Dinner will be at the Crossing Resort which has a choice of 2 restaurants

6BLake Louise - Banff
Today another highlight - we travel to the beautiful Lake Louise, probably Canada's most photographed lake, with the Victoria Glacier in the background. This emerald-coloured Lake leaves a lingering impression. We will have free time at the lake to enjoy its beauty. Maybe take a canoe ride or enjoy the 4km walk to the top of the lake. The beauty of the lake can also be admired from inside the Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise Hotel.
We then visit the Spiral Train Lookout and Emerald Lake before travelling along the Bow Valley Parkway to Banff. Banff is the first and most famous of Canada's national parks, and is an incomparable combination of towering peaks, high meadows, emerald lakes, and clean mountain air. These - and sulphur hot springs - have made Banff National Park one of North America's most spectacular scenic and recreational areas. On arrival we check into our Hotel, Irwins Mountain Inn.
Please note that the Irwins Mountain Inn is located downtown and it is only a short walk to restaurants and shops.

Our morning tour of Banff features Banff Springs Hotel, Bow River and all the beautiful sights that Banff has to offer. This afternoon is free to enjoy one of the many activities available to do in Banff.

8BBanff - Drumheller
After a relaxing day we depart by coach to Drumheller and the Alberta Badlands. Enroute we visit John Cartwright’s KFC farms, John has a Speckle Park Cattle Stud and cropping operation. We then venture into the “Badlands” of Alberta, where we will be stepping back into prehistoric times. Firstly we visit the the ‘World’s Largest Dinosaur’, Midland Provincial Park and the Tyrrell Museum, which is considered the world’s finest dinosaur museum, and features fascinating galleries and skeletons from the Jurassic period.
This afternoon we visit the mixed cropping farm of Adam Muller and his family. Here we will be looking at wheat and canola. We then visit a bison farming operation before checking into our hotel.
Tonight we enjoy Dinner with local farmers and their families.

9BDrumheller - Neilburg - Harris - Saskatoon
Prairies and cropping are on the agenda today as we depart Drumheller by coach and travel through the Canadian farmland to Neilburg where our first visit is to a local Hutterite Colony, which sees the cropping 20 thousand hectares and includes a state-of-the-art dairy.
We then travel to Scott Goodfellow’s family farm which crops around 5000 hectares, and has been in the area for many years. We then travel through the Canadian countryside to Harris to visit Ron and Judy Leonard, another family cropping farm, before coaching into Saskatoon.
Saskatoon, often referred to as the 'Paris of the Prairies' and 'Bridge City' due to the 8 river crossing, is the largest city in the province. Located on the South Saskatchwan River, it is surrounded by natural beauty and is home to some of the largest agriculture players such as Nutrien and Viterra.
Today is a big day as we are travelling some 600km through some of the best farmland Canada has to offer.
On arrival into Saskatoon we check into our hotel.

Our first visit today is to Doyle Wiebe's farm. Doyle farms Canola, Wheat, Barley and Peas.
We then travel to Ag in Motion, the largest agricultural trade show in Western Canada that provides an outdoor venue for progressive farmers that want to see and feel the largest agricultural innovations in one place. Ag in Motion brings innovation to the field through interactive exhibits and live field and crop plot demonstrations. Today we meet with the General Manger of Seed Master, the developer of their Automated Machinery division.
This afternoon we depart Ag in Motion for a visit to Black Fox Distillery. On arrival we enjoy a farm tour and learn the story of how John and Barb Stefanyshyn-Cote, two former Canadian Farmers of the year, sold their grain farm and started this fantastic distillery. After the farm tour we visit the distillery and enjoy some Gin tasting, then free time to relax for a while on the new patio bar before we head back to the hotel.

11BDSaskatoon
First up a tour of CNH Plant where Flexi Coil seeders are produced. We then visit Virtex Grain. Virtex Farm Foods began with a group of farmers from Virtex Grain Exchange and new farmer shareholders for a value-added venture to have their canola processed and profit from the sale of oil. Virtex are currently expanding to crush 70,000 tonnes per year, the facility produces NON GMO Canola Oil, Canola Meal, and Hulless Barley.
Since this is our last day - it's time to relax with free time in downtown Saskatoon for lunch. For those that are interested, take a 2:00pm cruise on the Prarie Lilly down the Saskatoon River.
Tonight, a farewell dinner at the Granary Restaurant.
