After breakfast we continue in our private vehicles to Jaipur , enroute visiting Fatehpur Sikri, the political capital of India's Mughal Empire under Akbar's reign from 1571 till 1585 and regarded as the crowning glory of his architectural legacy. The name Fatehpur Sikri evokes nostalgia of history. The richest period of history can be attributed to the Mughal period, Akbar being one of the emperors who shone the brightest for his deeds. Fatehpur Sikri stands for all the architectural wonder that this emperor’ time could conjure up. This is officially a city and a district but in reality, this historical façade is a mere ghost town of the past though it has a present-day population of 28,804 as per census data. The façade of Fatehpur Sikri remains a historical monument – deserted – though it was built to support a sprawling ancient city.

After this quick visit, also explore this small town of Fatehpur Sikri with quick look at a local machinery dealer shop and a local grain dealer. Travel through the farmland and have lunch at Laxmi Vilas Palace, Bharatpur. We invite couple of farmers from the local village at the Palace and have lunch with them, some having a family farm of 5 generations farming wheat, mustard seed and maize. We continue on and enter the agriculture state of Rajasthan. On arrival you will be met by your representative and will be assisted whilst check-in at the palace. The Taj Rambagh Palace is an actual palace and still owned by the Royal family-a real experience in itself.  Free evening to enjoy the ambience of this palace hotel!

On arrival, check-in at your hotel.

At your palace home, enjoy a heritage walk in this beautiful and most amazing palace of the country getting to know your home for 2 days enjoy a glass of champagne at the world-famous Polo bar!

After breakfast, with your guide, you will be driven to Amber Fort stopping enroute at 2 interesting stops and great photo opportunities (don’t forget to carry your camera!). The first stop is Hawa Mahal-Palace of Winds or the Pink Palace. A palace built in the form of a high wall to screen royal ladies as they watched street festivities. After this quick stop a short distance away is your next stop at the roadside milk market called doodh mandi (doodh=milk & mandi=bazaar/market).

If you arrive early in the day, the market is bustling with milk with buyers, sellers, and agents with most of the men folk dressed in traditional Indian rural clothes. The market comes alive around 6 in the morning and stays vibrant until 8 or even until 9 in the morning but the best time would be 8 am or even earlier. This market primarily caters to the bulk buyers however even small household buyers are seen around negotiating.

Our next stop is the Amber fort. Amber Fort is one of the most fascinating of the Indian forts comprising the Palace of Mirrors, Hall of Public Audience, and beautiful gardens, all of which give a glimpse into the majesty of days gone by.

Later in the afternoon explore the bustling city’s heart, walk in the narrow lanes of the old city, the heritage quarters, visiting the royal City Palace and the Jantar Mantar- the Observatory which is another example of genius. Later, you will be driven back to the hotel.

Today you drive for around 6-7 hours to a rural jewel of India, exclusive  destination! Chhatrasagar situated on the dam site.

In the evening, enjoy the sundowners and get the feel of this amazing destination.

Luxury tents have always played an important part in Rajput lifestyle. Constant safari campaigns in far-flung lands meant long stays in tents in inhospitable conditions. These tents were the only luxury available and soon these ‘homes away from home’ evolved into mobile, mini palaces. RAAS Chhatrasagar captures this romance.

Take a gentle dawn stroll around the lake, or an evening jeep drive through the grasslands, spying myriad bird species and herds of blue bull. Upon arrival you will check-in at your hotel which is in the heart of Old Jodhpur, the most amazing place to stay.

Inspired by the Walled City, the new buildings feature a modern approach to the use of space and light, yet each is grounded in tradition. Intricate architectural carvings adorn the structure in the iconic style of 18th-century havelis. Jodhpur’s red sandstone unites the old and the new with the contemporary designs adding an exciting and fresh dimension to the region’s ancient carving industry.

    Jodhpur

The cities of colour and being identified with a color, isn’t it just brilliant. Jaipur, the pink city with its unique charm and Jodhpur is the blue city which provides the visitors with several postcards’ worthy shots. Jodhpur was founded in 1459 by Rao Jodha but called blue city from the indigo paint that many Brahmans (one of the castes in Hindu) use to cover their houses. Old part of the city is best discovered on foot and has a complete different feel to it compared to the other cities in the state of Rajasthan.  Jodhpur is the second largest city of Rajasthan.  Visit to Jodhpur, the sun city of India adds another ‘experiential’ dimension to the holiday with its worldwide acknowledged and unparalleled hospitality and vibrant culture. The city also boasts of a profound music heritage

Tour of the amazing sites of Jodhpur but for you specifically we would begin the morning visiting the most amazing fruit & vegetable market in Paota, Jodhpur.

Back to hotel for an afternoon relax and later in the evening walk to the old city where you will see the smaller grain market which is both retail and wholesale.  Visit the wonderful clock tower market, magnificent Mehrangarh Fort and Jaswant Thada.
