Southern Hospitality
Visit Dallas/Fort Worth, Texas and experience a local ranch and stockyards. Travel through the home of the blues, Memphis, Tennessee where Sun Records, the Jack Daniels Distillery, Graceland and a Mississippi River cruise will demonstrate southern culture, hospitality and charm.
Then on to Nashville and the Country & Western Hall of FAME, the Johnny Cash Museum and a visit to the Grand Ol' Opry. Travel through the battlegrounds of the American Civil War as we head north through Virginia to Washington D.C.

1DDallas, Texas
On arrival into Dallas, Texas and clearing customs you are met and transferred to our Dallas Hotel.
Tonight, a welcome Dinner Texas style.

2BDallas
This morning we are joined by a local guide and enjoy a city tour of Dallas, a modern metropolis in north Texas, a commercial and cultural hub of the region. Downtown’s Sixth Floor Museum at Dealey Plaza commemorates the site of President John F. Kennedy’s assassination in 1963.
In the Arts District, the Dallas Museum of Art and the Crow Collection of Asian Art cover thousands of years of art. The sleek Nasher Sculpture Centre showcases contemporary sculpture, and an afternoon of free time.

Today we travel by coach to visit a local ranch, we also look at Soya Beans and Cotton, then visit the Historical Stockyards. On to Fort Worth to enjoy some free time to wander and also enjoy the 4:00pm Longhorn run through the main street.

4BDallas - Hot Springs, Arkansas
Today we depart by coach through the Texas countryside and cross the state border into Arkansas. We continue to Hot Springs, a resort city of 38 thousand is located in the Ouachita Mountains and is famous for its Hot Springs.
On arrival we visit the Gangster Museum of America, where you will be taken back to the 1920-1940 era when mineral water, gambling, bootlegging and other extreme pleasures brought visitors from all over the world to Hot Springs.
This afternoon we also visit a new Sake Company, Origami Sake, which is using a specially grown local rice.
Tonight free to enjoy Dinner at a local restaurant.

5BHot Springs - Memphis
Travelling by coach we first visit a local retailer, Helena Agri Enterprises and 2 representatives from ADAM USA, we then continue to visit Keith Freeland's family Rice and Soya Bean Farm at Brinkley. Keith is Vice Chairman of the Arkansas Rice Growers Association.
We then continue by coach travelling through the Arkansas Country side and visit a local Cotton farm and Gin.
We then continue onto Memphis, a city on the Mississippi River in southwest Tennessee. Famous for the influential strains of blues, soul and rock 'n' roll that originated there. Elvis Presley, B.B. King and Johnny Cash recorded albums at the legendary Sun Studio, and Presley's Graceland mansion is a popular attraction.
Other music landmarks include the Rock 'n' Soul Museum, The Blues Hall of Fame, and Stax Museum of American Soul Music.

6BMemphis
Our day begins with a Music City tour of Memphis, the home of Blues and the birthplace of Rock 'n' Roll. It's many iconic landmarks including the Historic Levitt Shell where Elvis gave his first paid Concert, the hotel where Martin Luther King was assassinated, the Pyramid, and the famous Mississippi River. Then a visit to the world renowned Sun Studios.
Your afternoon is then free to explore.

Elvis Presley is the feature today as we visit Graceland for the full tour and Elvis experience. Later, we visit the famous B17 bomber, Memphis Belle.
This afternoon is free to wonder around Beale Street or visit one of the many attractions that Memphis has to offer.

8BMemphis - Nashville
This Morning we continue by coach, travelling through Tennessee. Our first visit today is to Tolley Farms, a beef operation were we meet with Mark Tolley and Andy Holt (Assistant Commissioner of Ellington Agriculture Centre Nashville), then onto a local wheat farm.
After our visits we continue to travel through the beautiful Tennessee countryside for an afternoon tour of the famous Jack Daniels Distillery, the oldest registered distillery in the United States. Jack Daniels was founded in 1863, today we learn the history behind the distillery that’s emblematic of southern culture and find out how the legendary old No & whiskey is made at the source. The tour finishes with a memorable stop at the historic Barrell House 1-14 where we will finally get to taste the product.
We then continue by coach to the home of Country and Western Music, Nashville.
Tonight in Nashville is free. I suggest you take the opportunity to see the local band the Time Jumpers who play every monday night and is made up of local music legends, including Vince Gill.

9BNashville
After Breakfast we leave for a morning tour of Nashville like no other. Our tour guide is a singer-songwriter who will take us on a tour of the Music City, including world famous Music Row Our guide will explain the ins-and-outs of the recording industry from an aspiring songwriter’s point of view. The city tour will continue through the heart of downtown Nashville and pass many historic buildings, including the Ryman Auditorium, Tennessee State Capital, Bicentennial Mall State Park, Vanderbilt University, Belmont, Centennial Park, the Parthenon and many more. We also drive past some of the famous houses of the stars, such as our own Keith Urban and Nicole Kidman.
This afternoon we visit the Country and Western Hall of Fame and the Johnny Cash Museum.
Tonight is special, we fist have dinner at Paula Deans Kitchen before we visit the Grand Ole Opry which is a weekly American country music stage concert in Nashville. Founded on November 28, 1925 by George D. Hay as a one-hour radio "barn dance" on WSM. and currently owned and operated by Opry Entertainment, it is the longest-running radio broadcast in US.

10BNashville - Knoxville - Ashville
Departing by coach we continue through Tennessee to Knoxville. On our way we visit a local mixed family farm before continuing onto Ashville, North Carolina. This thriving mountain city features a funky and eclectic downtown, 30-plus art galleries, a burgeoning culinary scene, a thriving live music scene, and of course the awe-inspiring scenery of the Appalachian Mountains.

11BAshville - Raleigh
Today we travel through Carolina to Raleigh where we visit a local Peanut farm and take a look at Civil War and slavery history as we travel.

12BRaleigh - Richmond
We travel to Richmond, the capital city of Virginia which was the largest state in population and industrial capacity to join the Confederacy. With the capital cities of the Confederacy and the Union only 100 miles apart, Virginia became the major battleground of the American Civil War.
Today we also visit the corn warrior and look at corn production and record yields.

13BRichmond - Washington D.C.
Enjoy a morning tour of Richmond before we depart by coach to the capital, Washington D.C. On arrival we enjoy a city tour of and of course a visit the White House and Capital Hill.
